I have a fantastic 2 and a half year old little boy (considering that before I became a mother I did not really feel any maternal instinct … now I find myself living this immense love, an indescribable love for my little baby)
Not long ago he told me, giggling, that “Jesus was biting him” often he tells me that “The Madonna is here” …. My whole family does believe, even though we don’t really put our faith into practice. He also told me that in the barn of our new house, which we are restructuring, there are some people. I always try to ask him questions on the subject “What are they like, what do they tell you, are they good people?” and he is always very serene and smiling as he answers affirmatively to all of my questions.
Today we were in the car, stopped in front of my mother’s house, and my son screams “Nonna Giusti! Nonna Giusti!” I did not understand, it was the very first time he mentioned that name, and he continued on “Nonna Giusti is right there (pointing at the house) and is guarding the house”. My mum and I immediately looked at each other, thinking the same thing: my great grandmother, who passed away 25 years ago, was called Giustina, we all called her Nonna Giustina. And it’s been years since we talked about her.
I really am beginning to become more and more convinced that my son is particularly sensitive in seeing what for us is “off limits”.
All this is giving us enormous joy and a lot of serenity!
