Our beloved departed ones see us and help us

I never met my grandmother, she had departed just before I was born 33 years ago, my mother did not know yet that I was going to be born a girl, my grandmother appeared to her in a dream, to announce my arrival to her, and to reassure her that she was going to be taking care of me too.

We were a numerous family, and I was the only girl.

One day, I was about 16, my older brother felt sick in the middle of the night, and both my parents ran to take him to the hospital, and left me with my two younger brothers.

After I made them go to bed again, I was sitting in the living room, near the phone, I was hoping to hear some news …. I heard my name being called twice, but, on both occasions, I could not see anyone!

And so I went to lie down on the sofa, and soon after that, I had the sensation that someone was caressing my hair, and so I fell asleep, pampered by a melody that I have not forgotten, ever since hearing it that night.

My brother got better, a few months went by until … one summer afternoon, my mother, my aunts and I found ourselves in the garden all together, chit chatting a little bit, and due to the summer heat I was beginning to doze off on the chaise when, instinctively, I started to caress my own hair, and I also sang that little melody I had heard the night my brother was taken to the hospital.

The oldest one of my aunts asked me where I had heart that music, and so I told her everything …. she was in a state of shock for a few moments, and then she told me: that was the lullaby that grandmother sang to all her girls to lull them into sleep!!!

A goodbye to everyone.
