Dialogue between an Angel and the Lord poem dictated by an Angel of the Sky

Lord, listen to me, I am your Angel,

of all the Angels, perhaps I am the most difficult one,

why Lord do you not remember me any more?

And the Lord answered:

Angel, how could I not follow you,

my eyes are always upon you,

my heart is always with you,

my Love accompanies you every moment

And the Angel replied:

And all this time I thought

that you were busy with other Angels,

I thought you were too busy with other Angels,

I thought you had decided to leave me alone

to see how I would manage,

I decided that you were far away to allow me my freedom,

I decided that you were far away to let me choose

between good and evil.

I decided you were far away to test me

And the Lord answered:

Firstly, my dear Angel, you decided where I was,

you decided that I was far away from you,

you decided my feelings,

now listen my sweet Angel,

why are you so free? For Love only for Love,

why can you choose? For Love only for Love,

why do my steps always accompany you? For Love

only for love,

why do I not guide you every instant? For Love only for Love,

why do I suddenly stop being there and I do not give you orders?

For Love only for Love,

why do I always welcome you in my arms? For Love only for Love

And the Angel, surprised, replied:

If you listen to me, Lord, is because you have ears for me,

if you watch me, my Lord, is because you have eyes for me,

if you accompany me, my Lord, I will have your steps next to mine,

if you help me, Lord, it’s the Love you have for me,

if you answer me, my Lord, is to help me with your Love,

if I then make a mistake, my Lord, I will have your Love and your forgiveness.

And so the Angel raised his eyes and saw the eyes of the Lord

and said:

Thank you my Lord, now I can descend on earth,

your eyes will follow me,

your ears will listen to me,

you will walk next to me,

your Love will follow me always,

my eyes will be full of Love for you,

just like your eyes will be full of Love for me,

now that I understood your Love,

so will I bring your same Love on earth

And the Lord replied:

In the heart your Love is great,

bring yourself into the world,

and you will bring my own Love
