To the edge of life : dear Sara today I tell you about to the edge of life, this is experiences of a friend, you know, a friend of mine suffered a rather serious cerebral hemorrhage, it was on a Sunday afternoon as he was watching TV with his wife; he said that suddenly he felt as if someone had turned off the lights, it was total darkness; hospital, surgery, coma; he told me how he felt as if he was watching the bed in which he was laying, from up above, he could see and hear everything, the doctors, nurses, their words as they were shaking their heads and saying they didn’t think he was going to pull through; he tried to call them, but they could not hear him, he wanted to tell them that they were wrong, that he was alive, that they should call his wife, but he realized that he had no body weight; he tried to pick up any objects but he could not do it, and yet he felt very well, better than he had ever felt, cocooned in a warm sensation and a lot of light.
The doctors told his family that there was no hope for him, but after 40 days he opened his eyes again, and he saw his wife’s face as she asked him if he recognized her, and how he was feeling, his answer was “I recognize you, yes, you are my wife and I have been feeling well all along from wherever I was; by the way, who won the Grand Prix races?”, the day he fell ill he had been following the race on TV.
