Dreams that become reality
Dreams that become reality experiences
Dreams that become reality : dear Sara, I work as a nurse in a geriatric hospital, I would like to tell you about two dreams I had, dreams about events that then became reality, events almost contemporary to my dreams and of which I understood the meaning; the patient I am about to mention was 85 years old, his entire left side was paralyzed; the stroke he suffered also affected the part of his brain that manages social inhibition, and so he had become extremely scurrilous, he made very rude comments of sexual nature and for this reason he had been assigned to me, since none of the female nurses wanted to be near him, and he needed a lot of physical care.
One night I had a dream, I was standing at the end of his bed, I reached out to him with both my arms and my hands out towards him, he took my hands and I gently pulled him towards me; as he was moving towards me, as I was pulling him, I heard some kind of hissing, it was as if his soul was in the process of coming out of him, then he pulled back and I heard the same sounds as a sort of a rustle, as if the soul went right back inside him; this happened three times; this is how the dream ended.
The following morning I went to work and I noticed that the patient was no longer in his bed, I was informed that he had been taken to the ICU, he had had a heart attack; they used the defibrillator three times on him (which means his heart had stopped three times) and the family wanted the doctors to keep trying to revive him, three “rounds” just like in my dream, and in the end he pulled through.
About a month later I had another dream, I was at work and I was doing my round of patients; in my dream, my same patient was not in his bed, I went to the head nurse and I reported it; she told me to go looking for him; so I went to the end of the corridor, towards his room, when suddenly, the corridor transformed into a beautiful forest, in it I saw in the distance a light coming toward me, it was getting larger as it got nearer, the form took on a shape, I recognized my patient in it, the body of my patient; he seemed to enjoy perfect health, he seemed wonderful, wearing a white drape, and he was walking; I remember that in the dream I had a moment of vexation, I asked myself, how come I had to wash him and clean him so many times when I could see he was walking perfectly well?, he came near me, and shook my hand, I asked myself what had happened to his paralyzed arm, and then he said “I just wanted to thank you for having taken such good care of me, please, tell my wife how much I love her and I am so sorry to have been such a burden”, then he turned around and he left, and that’s how my dream ended.
I went to work the following morning, I was ready to tell my patient what I had dreamed about, but I discovered that during the night he had passed away, in that dream he showed me his real self as he is today, I then shared my dream and his message with his wife.
