Many years later, I had another wonderful experience, it was wonderful in one way and sad in another.
I went to visit a young bride who had fallen sick with pancreatitis … we were chatting … she was glad for my visit, and so was I to be there. She was apparently well, and I was hoping she would recover! ... However, she got worse, the doctors sent her home … I can’t even tell you how sad I was feeling!
I was hearing news that she was getting better … then worse … until the news arrived that she was in very bad shape, and there was no hope for her life … even though the doctors said that she could recover.
I went to visit her … she was in a coma! She remained in a coma for many days. I was at her bed … and for a moment I thought: IF SHE SAW WHAT I SAW BACK THEN, SHE WILL NEVER COME BACK!!! …. I left … and 4 or 5 days passed.
One night I dreamt of her, radiant, content, happy! She told me: “DO ME A FAVOUR: YOU KNOW WHAT IT’S LIKE HERE! I AM WELL! PLEASE EXPLAIN THIS TO THEM!!! ...”
Early that morning, I opened my eyes, and I knew she was dead! I to with my spouse, and said: FRANCA IS DEAD!!! ...
I did not even finish my sentence, and the phone rang. The voice on the other side was telling us that Franca had left us! ... when I went to pay my last goodbye to her, she was in her bed, she looked like she was sleeping, but the nicest thing within that strange circumstance was to be able to have seen the smile on her lips!
Goodbye Sara! I felt you so close to me while I was writing this!
